System applications for Urban Air Mobility
We design and manufacture mechatronic products to support our customers’ innovation and enable the certification and production of eVTOLs through our Pilot Control Interfaces (Drive-by-Electric), our Electrical Control and Protection (Electric Distribution) and our solutions for Controlling and Detecting the Initiation of eVTOL Systems (Electric Motion). We are preparing 24/7 global services for future eVTOLs in operation, such as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), spare parts distribution and eVTOL instrumentation.
Electrical Power Distribution:
Crouzet designs and manufactures a complete range of Electrical Control and Protection solutions to manage electrical distribution onboard aircraft and protect cables and electrical equipment from overcurrents and overvoltages. With hermetically sealed relays, thermal circuit breakers, externally controlled circuit breakers (RCCBs), circuit breakers with integrated electronics, and solutions integrating power electronics, we meet the requirements of all ATA24 chapters according to MIL and EN standards. Our DesignLAB currently offers solutions suitable for 230VAC and 270VDC networks, integrating all functions into electrical distribution panels.
Flight Control Pilot Interfaces:
Crouzet Pilot Interfaces for flight controls offer a unique piloting experience, ensuring precise and reliable transmission of pilot commands to the onboard computer. Our control handles, equipped with a wide range of control buttons, as well as our side sticks, contribute to safer flights by reducing crew workload, while complying with the latest certification requirements for all ATA27 pilot controls.
Flight Control Actuation System:
Crouzet Motion Control provides mechatronic products for executing and controlling electrical flight control movements, with design and validation capabilities for electromechanical actuators. Our 28VDC actuators, position sensors, proximity sensors, and sealed limit switches are customized to customer specifications and meet the requirements of ATA27. We also develop force sensors and high-power-density motors.
Landing Gear System:
Crouzet provides mechatronic solutions to implement and control landing gear operations in accordance with ATA32, from the pilot control interfaces to the rudder lever and control buttons. This includes electrical distribution and protection with thermal circuit breakers, hermetically sealed relays, and landing gear position and force control: wheel weight measurement, rudder position, and landing gear locking using proximity sensors, sealed limit switches, and force sensors.
Cabin Systems and furnishings:
Crouzet Motion Control provides mechatronic products that comply with ATA25 and ATA44. Our Position Sensors, Proximity Sensors, Hermetic Limit Switches, and Microswitches, tailored to customer specifications, are used in the cabin to improve the safety and comfort of crew members and passengers. Our range of Electrical Protection products protects cables and electrical equipment from overcurrents and overvoltages.
Doors & Cargo accessories:
Crouzet Motion Contol provides mechatronic products to ensure and control the electrical movements of cargo doors, hatches, and equipment, with design and validation capabilities for electromechanical actuators. Our 28VDC actuators, position sensors, proximity sensors, and sealed limit switches, customized to customer specifications, comply with ATA49 and ATA52.
Fuselage:
Crouzet ensures the structural integrity and reliability of vehicle structures during ground and flight tests. We work with our customers to measure structural forces and stresses on critical parts such as landing gear, engines, and wings. Crouzet also provides hybrid circuit breakers with arc-fault detection, ensuring protection against arc flashes that can damage the helicopter structure.
